The word "doula" comes from the ancient Greek meaning "a woman who serves" and is now used to refer to a trained and experienced professional who provides continuous physical, emotional and informational support to the mother before, during and just after birth; or who provides emotional and practical support during the postpartum period.


While the birth of a baby is a joyous event, there are can be some unexpected challenges.  Caring for yourself, and the baby, while keeping up with your day to day responsibilities may be overwhelming when you are sleep deprived.  That is where I can help you.




I will come into your home and assist you in caring for yourself, your baby and your family.  My goal is to prevent your anxiety so that you can relax, enjoy your new little one and adjust to the changes that naturally occur at this time.
